PSYCHOLOGY CLUB 2019-21

As a part of B.Ed curriculum, different clubs were formed in our college. Psychology Club  was formed as a part of it. We conducted different programs in one year spreading through two semesters, and has reached the second academic year. Due to COVID 19 Pandemic most of our activities from April onwards is through Social Media Applications. 

 Our activities in the first and second semester include PSYCHOLOGY CORNER, a competition conducting in every possible week and a WORKSHOP on MENTAL STRESS AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT.

 

1. PSYCHOLOGY CORNER

As part of our club activities we conducted a competition (providing psychology related questions and collect answers) in possible weeks. For the best answer we award a prize. The launching of psychology corner was done by our principal Dr KY benedict sir on 30th July 2019.

Due to corona we continue psychology club activities through online. We create whatsapp group named PSYCHOLOGY CORNER 2019-21 in which students can submit their answers.

1.    PSYCHOLOGY WORKSHOP

 

We conducted a workshop on 13th February 2020 deal by Sister Julie on the topic MENTAL STRESS AND CHILD PSYCHOLOGY. The program started at 2.00 pm at College Auditorium. The inaugural function stated with a prayer. Ms. Parvathy VM (the Secratory, Psychology club) gave the Welcome Speech. Ms.

Roshni S Raj, chairperson gave the Presidential Address, Felicitation by Dr. K.Y Benedict Sir, our Principal. Workshop started at 2.30 pm. Sister Julie took an exceptional class on mental stress and child psychology. Group discussion also conducted. The session ended at 4.00 pm with honouring the guests with Ponnada, Vote of Thanks by Aparna AS, President of Psychology club and Nationl Anthem.

·        We are planning to continue our psychology corner as possible. 

·        We are planning to implement a class on psychology tools (like assessment of attitude, aptitude, stresse art etc).

·        Presentation of emotional stress reducing videos.
