1.    Women's Cell 2019-2021

As a part of B.Ed curriculum 2019-21, different clubs were formed in our college. Women’s Cell was formed as a part of it. We conducted different programs in one year spreading through two semesters, and has reached the second academic year. Due to COVID 19 Pandemic most of our activities from April onwards is through Social Media Applications.

Our activities in the first semester include Reksha 2020, A Programme on Self Defence, conducted by Women’s Cell in association with Kerala Police.

 

 

 

The program started at 2.00 p.m at College Auditorium. The inaugural function stated with a prayer. Ms. Soorya Suresh(then President, Women’s Cell) gave the Welcome Speech. Ms. Roshni S Raj , chairperson gave the Presidential Address, Felicitation by Dr. K.Y Benedict Sir, our Principal. Self Defence class started at 2.30 p.m. Sulfath Madam and Jaya Mary Madam took an exceptional class on self defence techniques and practical use.they also provided us with emergency numbers to contact. The session ended at 4.00 p.m with honouring the guests with Ponnada, Vote of Thanks by Veena S. Pal, President Women’s Cell and Nationl Anthem.

As a result of Covid 19, students were unable to go back to college after college tour in second semester. To ease the stress of students, our coordinator Dr. Giby Geevarghese ma’am conducted a video prayer song challenge in which a number of students as well as faculty members participated.  Even some family members took part. It was an interesting challenge.

Programs conducted so far

She Fights - A program conducted by Women's Cell in association with Kerala Police to teach self defence measures to the students on 6th February 2020.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Proposals-

Achievement day- list out the achievements of each female student in our college and appreciate their effort.

Charity day- conducting programs to raise money for some charity work through women's cell.

Women Icon of the year- to find the most appreciable woman among ourselves. A suggestion of making it an ever rolling trophy came up during the discussion.

Conscientization program- for all students.

 

MASH UP VIDEO CHALLEGE 2020

 

 

 

 

Students from all the 6 Optionals submitted their videos on time. The results are ready with the judges and will be published soon.

Bodhikarma, a dance video on yoga and wellness is all set and ready to go. It was to be released by cine artists on 20/08/2020at 11.30 pm, but due to exams and study leave it is shifted to a new date which will be announced later.

Onam Celebrations

28/08/2020 We celebrated Onam online in our college. Bodhikarma was released and the result of the Mash up video was also announced on that day. Famous Cine artist and dancer Dhanya Mary Varghese released the video and our honorable principal Dr. K. Y Benedict Sir announced the result.

As a part of Onam celebrations, students were asked to make a pookalam out of natural items available and some members tried it.
