(Teacher shows an example of placard for students to write)

Teacher`s Version

The last paragraphs described that, Rosa was courageous enough to question an unjust rule not only for her, but for the whole black community. She is a representative of the entire African American community. She raised her voice for the voiceless by breaking the law of segregation. So every black community stood with her and protested against the law by boycotting the buses and travelled in shared taxis. And at the end she won the case and was released from the jail.

It is revealed that if we want to bring a change in society, as Gandhiji said we should “be the change”. First the change should begin from us. The segregation law was removed when Rosa decided to bring a change to the system by breaking the unjust law.

Another important thing is, when she protested and went to jail, the whole black community decided to support her. Which means even if she started it, the effort of everyone helped to bring a bigger change and hence, the result became sweeter.

(Teacher shows additional informations on the PPT, like when Rosa Park was died, about a statue built for her and a quote of Rosa that can inspire students)
